Iya Dong ;)

I'm off to my 3rd kampung today which is Jakarta to attend my best friend's sister's wedding this weekend...

Looks like it's going to be a super carbolading weekend for me as I'll be embracing the yummylicious food over there... ;P

Looking forward to meet my friends and relatives over there since I haven't been back for 2 years already... :)

Fun fact: My uncle (my mom's youngest brother) wrote and composed these 2 beautiful songs for our very own Jazz Queen... ;)

AND...

These 2 songs are my WAJIB karaoke songs... ;)

Have a good weekend everyone :)

The Wettest Run @ Penang Bridge International Marathon...

Indeed it was...

Drove my hot rod to Penang on Saturday morning with these lovely girls to pick up the my race pack...

Roadtrip!!! Woohooo!!!

Scorching hot day it was!!!

Met this lady who's working from Athlete's Circle store at Jaya One and decided to do a running pose with her:

With Jolene from Athlete's Circle..
She was the 5:30hr pacer for the marathon...

The half marathon started at 315am for us ladies and I only managed to get 2 hours of sleep before that since the guests from a wedding that was held in the hotel were making lots of noises outside of the room... *Yawn*

We had to get up early to get to the starting point since the roads leading up to the bridge and Queensbay Mall were closed at 1am...

By the time we managed to find a parking, the men's category was about to be flagged off at 3am...

Camwhored before we started running since all of us were pretty much sleepy and there was nothing else better to do :P

Trying to keep myself awake by doing odd poses at 3am :P
Wearing my new Skins bought in Melbie ;)

With Rosey....

With the other half marathoners...
Baba and Marlin were doing their first half marathon! Two thumbs up!

I told myself that this will be a slow and easy peasy run for me since I didn't wanna overexert myself and that Marathon Singapore is just 2 weeks away...

So I ran pretty much at a lazy pace for the first 10km of the route...

AND THEN...

It started to rain so heavily after I u-turned at the bridge... Dum dum dum...

I was in a way grateful that it rained as the heavy downpours motivated me to run faster and complete the half marathon as fast as I can...

So I ran like a mad woman trying to shield herself from the rain.... I desperately wanted to complete the run since I was afraid that I would get asthma attack...

Until I saw my fellow half marathon virgin/bootcamper/friend Ody at the last 2km... She was slowing down and I decided to motivate her and quickly grabbed her hand so that we could finish the half marathon together-gether... Hehe...

Obviously, there were stares and comments when we were holding hands while running... So typical... Jealous is it? :P

Pushed her til' the finish line and we completed the race in 2 hours 21 mins (official time)!!!

Not a PB for me but I'm so glad that I managed to push myself to run like a mad woman with the heavy rain conditions... And that I helped out my friend to complete her first half marathon :)

Oh, and getting soaked and wet in the rain is a lot of fun ;)

Gambars after the run:

Ody and I...
Congrats babe for completing your first 21km with a superb timing! :)

With fellow Dailymilers and our medals....
Azhar (super human this guy is!) completed his 21km in 1 hour 37 mins... Gila!
Selly completed her 21km in 2 hours 22 mins...
Marlin (21km virgin) completed hers in 2 hours 9 mins (Super awesome timing and congrats girl!)
Fiki completed his in 2 hours 3 mins (Another kiasu runner!)

With fellow bootcampers from OBC Bandar Utama....
Hooyah to all of you!!! :)

The lovely supporters that waited for us to complete our runs... :)

Major congrats to Baba for completing her first 21km in 3 hours 18 mins even with her busted knees!!!
Sooooo proud of you!!! :)

With my fellow penyeri Shaz who completed her 10km in 1 hour 19 mins (a PB for her)! :)

It was definitely a run to remember as PBIM marked my sixth and final half marathon for the year...

Oh, and the fact that my best friend of 17 years was there to see me complete a run for the first time :)

My new agent :P

Thai Ads

Haven't been doing this for a while now on a Friday... :)

When I was studying my postgraduate degree in Advertising, I met and became friends with my Thai course-mates, and they were always nice to share their country's latest TVCs with me up til' today via Facebook...

And I have to say that most of the ads are creatively and brilliantly executed...

So, I am going to share a couple of entertaining TVCs that I've seen so far with all of you :)

1. Shera Ceiling Board - A Gecko Love Tragedy (cute!)

2. We're Sorry, Thailand (super moving ad!)

3. Disconnect To Connect (a reminder to us BB/iPhone users)

Have a wonderful weekend peeps! :)

Oh, and hope to see all you in Penang this weekend... Will dance my half marathon away as it will be my sweet LSD before my 2nd full marathon in Singapore... :)

Song of the week...

I'm not really into listening to the latest/current songs since I pretty much listen to the ol' skool R&B songs everyday... :)

But I have been singing to this latest single by Katy Perry called Firework for the past couple of days...

Which is quite timely, since the lyrics are pretty inspiring and meaningful too... Do listen to the words carefully... :)

Just gotta ignite the light within me and let it shine through everything that I'm going through at the moment :)

By the way, thank you everyone for your well wishes... Truly appreciate it... :)

Hope.Faith.Believe.

Note: My first emo post ever... Just needed to rant it out! :)

Three simple words...

But powerful ones when combined them together...

These three words have helped me get through the hurdles in my life....

I have always been an optimistic person...

If you were to ask any of my friends, they would concur this statement with me - the person who'll always smile and laugh... *Jual diri moment :P*

Just that lately, I've been bogged down with a couple of issues in my life...

Somehow, these three words have been helping me out on finding the 'pot of gold at the end of the rainbow' at the end of the day and made me a better, stronger and wiser person...

But...

How long can one keep going on like this?

Especially when you know that you've done your very best and it still gets you nowhere...

How do you tell yourself when 'enough is enough'?

I'm really lost...

Only Allah SWT knows how I really feel inside and badly needs His guidance... *Please hear me out*

Until then, I'm just going to keep on smiling and hold firmly to these words...

Oh, and not to forget... Running too :)

Terry Fox Run, Taman Titiwangsa...

I had blast last Sunday with my fellow bootcampers from Bandar Utama...

It was so good to see parents bringing out their beautiful babies and kids out in the morning for a stroll in the park too... :)

We decided to run 2 loops of the lake and pretty much camwhored whenever we can of course :P

Before the run pics:

With super marathoner YKK and Rosey...
The t-shirt is super comfy!!!
Pic credits to YKK

Our t-shirts were imprinted with "Team OBC Bandar Utama" words... Nice!!!

The junior bootcampers-to-be... Except for Ms Ody there... :P
Aren't they super cute?!!!

Post-running pics:

Pose wajib for every run ;P

The running towards the finish line pose...

More superdrama poses by us :P

Over drama pose by fellow bootcamper, John :P

With my ex-colleagues, Echa and Juliet with Suren from Runfool :)

See how much fun we have when we're running (and after that too)? ;)

I'm back with the team for this month to train for my PBIM and Marathon Singapore... It has been a blast so far :)

By the way, if you are interested to experience bootcamp, we'll be having our free session called Bring A Friend Day this Friday (12/11) at 5.45am or 7am...

New Balance Klang Pacers Run4It 12km...

One of my running buddies, Rosey decided to sign me up as well for the run when I was still in Melbourne since we needed to train for our next half marathon at PBIM...

I think there were only about 1000 (or less) runners that turned up for the event... Everyone must've gone up to Genting Highlands... (Will def trailblazing next year!)

We arrived about 10 mins before the men's category was flagged off... We started running about 10 minutes or less after that...

The weather was quite good yesterday... It was quite breezy... But, as soon after the first 2km, I started to inhale all of the carbon monoxide gases from the cars, buses and lorries!!!

And for the first time, my lungs nearly closed up on me because of these... It was so bad that I even tasted CO2 on my tongue... Total ewwww!!! :(

Since I have a history with asthma, I didn't want to push myself at all as I was breathing frantically... (Note to self: Start carrying an inhaler while running!)

The roads along the 12km route were pretty much busy, and it was disturbing to see the impatient drivers from the irritating honks as they were being held by the RELA crew for giving way to the runners... Idiots...

I started to feel the heat at the last 2km... So decided to run faster to get this run over and done with... Didn't want to sunbathe myself again :P

I completed the 12km run in 1 hour and 23 mins! :)

With the ladies...
Ody completed her 12km in 1 hour and 15 mins...
Both Nyna and Rosey completed in 1 hour and 22 mins...
Oh, and someone's spotting a new hairdo ;)

With fellow bootcamper Viki...
Congrats to Kak Nawal (far right) for completing the 12km in 1 hour 4 mins and was placed at no 9 in the category! Woot woot!

The 12km running group!!!

The finisher medal... Very nice! :)
All of the pics above were taken from Nyna and Rosey's mobile uploads on FB since can't upload pics from this old laptop of mine...

This will definitely be my first and last time running in Klang due to the polluted air... Not good not good...
