Malaysia Women Marathon - Like FINALLY!!! :D

Ladies, if you haven't heard about this, well now you have!!! :D

The first ever running event created to celebrate us!!! 

This will be happening on Sunday, 7th of April at i-City...

The race director, Karen Loh is a running friend of mine and her track record in running is super impressive! (She just completed the Vibram Hong Kong 100km Ultra Trail race back in February amidst planning for this awesome event! *WOW*)

And one of the living running legends will be gracing this epic event and she's none other than...

Kathrine Switzer (with the bib #261 in the picture), the FIRST woman to run the Boston Marathon as a numbered entry back in 1967.

Five years later, women were allowed to officially run the prestigious marathon for the first time ever after she and other women runners fought for it :)

HOW AWESOME AND INSPIRING SHE IS!!! I SERIOUSLY CAN'T WAIT TO FRIGGIN' MEET KATHRINE SWITZER!!! (I'm sure you can tell it by the exclamation marks :P)

There will be 3 categories at this historic event:

1) Full Marathon

2) Half Marathon

3) Fun Run 8km

ANDDD.... There'll be lots of activities going on at the expo 2 days prior to race day...

3 different continents, but we all wore the same 'uniform' for our last marathon event of the year :)

I guess all of us became selective when it comes to running at races this year ;P

But it doesn't matter, since I adore and have mad love for these girls, in and out of our running shoes :)

Looking forward to play dress-up again next year with my girls :)
