Let's Make The World Dance :)

I am currently addicted to this feel good song by Jessie J feat B.o.B:

My motivation song for the past 2 weeks before working out or running... ;)

Oh, and my trainings have been pretty awesome for my birthday marathon for this month:
Week 3:
Thursday: 4.4km (Lembah Kiara Park TTDI) - My only run for that week... So bad :P

Week 4:
Wednesday: 10.3km (Lembah Kiara Park TTDI) and 6.3km (Desa Park City) - Yeah I did park hopping on this day... Hehe...
Saturday: 30km (Bukit Aman - Bird Park Loop - Hartamas - Bird Park Loop - Bukit Aman)

Week 5 (this week!):
Monday: 6km (Happymill)
Wednesday: 6.3km (Desa Park City)

I finally did a 30km run... Since I've never done one previously for my 2 full marathons... So yayyy to me!!! :D

Definitely slowing down this week and do more strengthening workouts...

T-10 days!!!  :D :D :D

Hi everyone! :)

How was everyone's weekend? Good I hope... :)

Taken from Karen's FB :)

This will be my first trail run and my last event this weekend before flying off to Paris next week :)

So, join us and we'll have fun running in the jungle and getting your legs 'swamped' by leeches... :P

I am so going to to fully cover myself and spray my trail shoes with Baygon this Sunday... Hehe...

Not only that, you will also contribute your fees to raise funds for the Orang Asli Village there... :)

I am all in :)

Happy Friday to all of you! :)

I am sharing this latest cool TVC by adidas in conjunction with their new massive campaign titled "adidas is all in."

The campaign's message is all about putting your all into it when you're passionate just about anything...  Whatever your game is... :)

And after almost a year of 'accompanying' my feet to all of the races and marathons, I had to say goodbye to my Asics' Gel Nimbus 11... It was super awesome while it lasted...  I will miss you... :(

And say hello to the new love of my feet, Adizero Tempo... Hoping that we'll have an awesome connection and we'll be 'all in' throughout our runs this year... ;)

It's like a new relationship all over again... Hehe...  :P

Have a good weekend everyone! :)

Life Lessons #2

Tumblr
Taken from imgfave at Tumblr

One of my favourite sayings from the movie for us to ponder upon...

Start your day with positive vibes and a smile always... :)

Happy Thursday peeps! :)

Réservé :)

Over the weekend, the penyeris threw bridal shower #3 for one of our girls, Wan... :)

And the theme was: Ooh La La Love in Paris...

Definitely an awesome theme to prep myself for my trip next month ;)

And we started our day by learning how to make french macarons at this studio that I've googled called At 19 Culinary Studios in Damansara Heights:

The Penyeris (Minus Syikin) with our Bride-to-Be in the middle with our aprons before the class...
We were all dressed in black as the B2B was in plaids ;)

I made chocolate macarons! ;)

My BFF for Life and I...
We 'match-made' our macarons together ;P

The class lasted for 4 hours and now I understand why people are charging so much for one macaron... The process to do them is super tedious!!!

And we had a tea session after that at T Forty Two, Bangsar Village...

Superloved the deco, ambience and the yummy food!!!

B2B with her 'do' for the tea and her treats from all of us :)

All of us with our scarfs...
I bought my cool red beret at Sg Wang the weekend as I want to bring it to Par-ee ;)

One more amazing woman off the market... :)

See you in a weeks time for your BIG DAY my dearest Penyeri :)

Quote of the day...

"When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight."

- Khalil Gibran -

One of my favourite authors...

I'd like to think that there's a blessing in disguise for every hitch that I am going or have gone through... :)

Just gotta keep on going with your life and have happy thoughts always, even when all you want to do is just curl up on the bed...

Happy Tuesday peeps! :)

T-19 days!!! And I haven't done my long run yet! Eeek! I can do this! ;)

Road to Paris...

Paris is just about 4 Sundays away now... And when I decided to replace KD for the marathon, I know that I don't have much time to train...

But I guess you do all you can right? ;)

So, my trainings so far for the month:
Week 1:
Monday - 6.6km (Lembah Kiara Park TTDI)
Saturday - 7km (Happymill)
Sunday - 10.1 (Lembah Kiara Park and The Hills)

Week 2
Wednesday - 5km (Happymill)
Sunday - Bareno Run 21km (Bukit Jalil)

Coupled with a weekly dance class and mixed futsal session, I think my legs are doing good so far... :)

The plan is to do a 25-30km run this Saturday morning, just not sure where yet... Either happymill (boring!) or BA/FRIM...

Maybe a sub-5 at a happy pace is possible... Who knows? :)

T-24 days!!! :D

Nothing Lasts Forever...

"Modern technology
Owes ecology
An apology."

- Alan M. Edisson -

I'm sure all of you guys and girlies have been reading and watching the news of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan...

And it's only the third month of the year... :(

In times like these, we (the Malaysians and other disaster-free countries' readers respectively) should be grateful and thankful to God that we're not experiencing such catastrophes in our very own backyard...

And it's a good time to reflect on ourselves too... Both good and bad...

So, let us all pray to heal our earth and also to the victims in Japan...

Kudos to the Japanese peeps for being so united and grounded during this trying time...

And to my Muslim friends, let's do our part and sedekah Al-Fatihah and Surah Yassin to the world...

Bismillah...

Killer Hills @ Bareno Run 21km...

Well, they didn't call Bukit Jalil for nothing alright! ;)

I did one of the big no-nos the night before running a race - I had spicy food for dinner... I didn't think about it til' I was halfway indulging my chili crab...  :P

And with only less than 4 hours of sleep, I felt the burning in my tummy...

Woke up at 4am to get ready and was at the stadium by 515am...  Bumped into my penyeri + oprah lady Nyna and we walked to the starting line to find the usual suspects: Kak Nawal, Rosey and Viki...

See how sleepy we both looked?!

The 21km runners were flagged off at 530am... So we were pretty much running in the dark... Bumped into the Speed Queen Shanaz, Metal King Khairul Anuar and Mamil Victim Ray at the first couple of kms... Too fast la you all! ;)

I was still feeling the burning sensation on my tummy and I was praying hard that there would be no toilet incident... Hehe...

I recently recovered from an allergy reaction and I told myself that this will be a sweet LSD for me before my Par-ee marathon... So I was happily running at my own pace... And the fact that both my feet was experiencing foot cramps wasn't funny at all... Felt supernumb for a while there...

I don't know whether it was my Asics shoes (that I've been using for all of my races since April last year) or that my feet are just on a strike that morning... Hmmm...

That was until I saw the hills... Dum dum dummmmm...

In my head was like: Should I just run or walk through them? Contemplated for a good 10 secs and decided to walk through them... Hehe I know... Lazy :P

I was really grateful that the weather was just perfect yesterday... I guess that's the advantage of starting a race much earlier...

I was pretty happy that I pretty much run (at a fun pace of course *wink*) all the way til the finishing line after the hills... And it was so good to bump into my fellow 10km-ers as we 'collided' at the last 5km of the route...

I charged at my last 2km of the route and of course posed for Mr Tey at the last 1km... Always making time for the camera ;)

Trying out an agogo pose ;P

I think I need to shrink my arms a bit :P

I was asked to do this pose k! :P
Thanks for the pics Tey!

I was happy to complete the run (as I expected) in 2 hours 25 mins (unofficial time) :D

Finished in 54th place in my category... Not bad eyy ;)
Got a nice finisher tee to add into the collection! :)

Not a PB but there's always another day insyaAllah to PB a half marathon right? ;)

It was so good to see and chit chat with the usual runners since this is the first running event for most of the pelaris...

Oh, not to forget.. bercamwhore as usual ;)

With Kak Nawal - She completed her 21km in 2 hours 7 mins!
Awesomeness! One day I'll beat you.. :P

With the super runners! :)

With Rosey and Nyna
Both of them completed the race with a fellow bootcamper, Viki in 2 hours 39 mins... :)

More group shots with the awesome runners:

With the usual faces... You'll definitely see them at any running event ;)

With Balqis and her friend...
Loved the hat! Salute! ;)

With Pui San and Ijam - Oversmiling la someone :P

Another fun morning it was! Congrats to all of the runners! :D

Blessed :)

When I bought my return ticket to Paris, I dropped a couple of hints to my parents previously on my intention... And since they didn't respond to it, I thought they gave me the green light... ;)

My father finally realised that I was REALLY going last Saturday and both my parents knew that I needed to 'runaway' from the country for a number of reasons...

So it was really nice to see how my parents are being supersupportive and sweet about my spontaneous decision to go to Paris by giving me tips and places to go... And probably donations for my buys over there... Haha... Well I can always play the birthday card right? :P

It'll be my first time celebrating my birthday abroad since 2007 and I'm pretty sure that this one will be one of the most memorable ones... :)

Oh, and I have to mention this on my blog as well... Since I'll be running as Miss KD, I wanted to pay the fees for the marathon... But, she quickly brushed it off and gave it away as my birthday present...

And since I'll be bunking with superlaju Shanaz and she has done her hotel bookings much earlier on, I offered to pay my share for the accommodation... She told me over the weekend that it'll be her birthday present for me...

Such sweet running friends I have right? :)

I'm just so overwhelmed and blessed with such amazing family & running friends... Alhamdulillah :)

Exactly a month to go before my birthday marathon... I haven't been really well and haven't slept much for the past 2 weeks hence the lack of entries on my blog... I hope my body will recover a 100% for my trainings before I leave...

I really can't wait... :)

Low Mileage

According to my dailymile, I only ran a total of 12km last month...

Eeeeek!!!

MAJOR RED ALERT!!!

But hey, I was training for bootcamp and played futsal every week... So I shouldn't feel so guilty right? *wink*

I am so going to be extra rajin this month and try to hit between 50-60km this month so prepare myself for my birthday marathon... More LSDs during the weekend then!

Oh, by the way... I have yet to google on places to go in Paris...

So, suggestions are welcomed by all of you readers here on places/restaurants to go in Paris...

I want to celebrate with my medal at a super cozy  (+ yummy) place...

Appreciate it! :)

Paris, j'etaime :)

Thanks for the feedbacks from my blog, Facebook and Twitter (the power of social networks...Hehe)...

It took me about 2 weeks to decide on this, but then how can you say no to running a marathon on your birthday right? :D

Marathon de Paris

So yeah... Marathon de Paris, here I come!!!

WOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!

And I'll have this chica to be my tour-guide since it'll be my first time to the City of L♥ve :)

It will be a nice change to celebrate my birthday somewhere else this year since I really need a getaway...

I can't wait to see the beautiful architectures, bags (I am a girl afterall *wink*), and eat those yummy pastries that I've been watching in movies or the food channel :D

And it's 39 days away (gulp!) so I need to keep on running until then... And brush up my French with my mom since she used to study there for her degree... Hehe...

I need to plan my outfit for the marathon too!!! Suggestions are welcomed ;)

J'ai hâte qu'on aille à Paris! ;)

(Translation: Can't wait until we go to Paris!)
