A Decision...

I have been offered to run Marathon de Paris by Miss KD, since she'll be occupied with work during that time... *Hugs*

ANDDDDDD....

The marathon will be on MY BIRTHDAY this year!!!

That's right... It'll be such an awesome idea to celebrate your day by running a marathon, kan? ;)

BUTTTTTTT....

If I were to go to Paris, then I've to let go my Gold Coast Marathon/Melbourne trip in July...

I wish I can go and do both marathons... But I'm no daughter of a tycoon :P

I seriously need to find a side income for my running trips! *Another reminder*

And I need to decide on this like super duper soon!!!

So...

Make Yourself Ladies :)

Happy Friday to all! :)

It took me a while to find this campaign that I'm about to share with you... ;)

This campaign is called "Make Yourself", and it was launched last year in October by Nike Women to "motivate and encourage us women to improve our physical form and share their strategy of becoming 'the best versions' of themselves." (Taken from here)

Nike Women used a number of hot and saucy female athletes for the campaign...

This will be a feast for my male readers :P

My fave - Sofia Boutella (Algerian Dancer)... I mean, how superHOT is her body?!!!

Here are a few of the print ads:

Monica Byrne-Wickey

Anouk Hoogendijk
One of my dreams when I was growing up... :)

Made the ads bigger so that you can read the story of the athletes respectively :)

I've always admired and respected these ladies for their sheer determination and discipline to be the best that they can be... I mean if they can do it, why not us right? :)

Now get off there couch, wear you pretty workout clothes, go out there and make yourself ladies! :D

I am making myself Fit and Hot! (greedy I know :P)

Have a good weekend everyone! :)

Song of the week...

Hi all!!!

Yes, I've been 'attached' to my bed for the past 3 days as I was suffering from severe migraine + fever... So much for being healthy :P

But I have to admit that last week was a pure madness one and I didn't sleep or rest properly... So I guess the body decided to go on a strike on Monday morning...

Appreciate the kind wishes from my friends for the past 3 days... :)

But hey, the good thing is that I've started playing futsal and running again! Double yayyysss! ;)

Just have to balance them up with my bootcamp trainings as well... Am on a mission here... Hehe...

Anyways, this song has been on repeat in my car for the past 2 weeks... I think it is such catchy one and that I usually start dancing in my car whenever I play this song...

And I dedicate to all of the beautiful (and especially the single) ladies out there... :)

I like how she was channeling Janet Jackson (Rhythm Nation y'all) and TLC in the clip...

Do the pretty girl rock! ;)

Running Releases More Than Just Sweat...

It's Friday again and it's Ad day for the blog! :)

Last year, I posted an entry here about ASICS' global campaign, where it's all about 'cleansing' your negative thoughts by running...

Here's the TVC:

For this year, ASICS have just released their latest ad campaign that furthers last year's concept on the cleansing power of running...

And I do agree with this campaign...

Think about the food that you can eat, the pretty clothes that you'll be wearing and the hot body that you'll achieve through running... Definitely more than just sweat... Right?  ;P

Have a good weekend peeps! :)

Time to Stimulate the Brain...

I left my lappy back at the office last Friday... Hence the no update or entries til today since I was unwell on Monday...

One of my fave things to do over here in KL is to go to a bookstore and check out the latest books - be it fictional, self-help, sports or even cooking/baking... ;)

For the past one month, I've been buying a number of self-help books... I can assure you that there's nothing wrong with me... :P It's just that sometimes you need those books as constant reminders to be positive and optimistic in this ever-challenging world that we live in :)

So I'd recommend these books to all of you should you need to be 'lifted' (spiritually and mentally)... ;)

 1. Happiness Now - Andrew Michaels

It's about balancing your life in relation to your relationships with your partner or family, career and peace of mind... And the book features pretty funny illustrations... A light read before bedtime :)

2. The Rules of Life - Richard Templar

Well I'd say this book pretty much has common sense written on every page/section, but it serves as a great reminder to all of us since we're usually bogged down with things in our life... :)

I'm still half-way through this book since I like to read a couple of books in between... Hehe...

3. Don't Sweat the Small Stuff - Richard Carlson

I bought this book because a couple recommended this book to me and that it was one of the bestselling ones...

This book actually help you see common daily situations in your life in a different light... You'll ponder on things and try to make them (whichever chapter you're at) work for you in real life... A good read!

4. Girlosophy - Anthea Paul

This one of the first books that I bought when I first came to Melbourne.... Simply because of the title of the book... It's filled with inspirational quotes and eclectic wisdom on life.. Definitely helped me through my lonely/homesick days in Melbourne... A must-read for the girlies out there :)

So there you go! I find that these books are extremely helpful whenever I tend to be on the demotivated aka the dark side... Hehe... Oh, and whenever I'm on a mission, be it on running, dieting or looking for love *wink*

If you've other book(s) to recommend, feel free to let me know yeah... :)

May the Force Be with You ;)

Happy Friday peeps!

The has got to be one of the best ads that I've ever seen... :)

If you're a Star Wars fan, you've definitely superlove this ad... I mean, how C-U-T-E is the boy playing the Darth Vader character?! ;)

This ad was featured prior to the Superbowl and it garnered about 7 million views online immediately after it was shown... I guess traditional media still has its magic ;)

FYI - The boy was played by Max Pagehasm, and he is diagnosed with a congenital heart defect... Such a superyoung age (he's only 6!) with such disease and to be wearing a pacemaker all the time... But hey, I guess life is good for him now :)

Another hectic weekend for me... Oh well, better than doing nothing right... Hehe... MUST squeeze in some running though!

Have a good weekend everyone! :)

Quote of the day...

"A marathon is like life with its ups and downs, but once you've done it, you feel you can do anything."

-Unknown-

So very true! I never thought that I could complete a 10km run when I started out...

But I guess nothing is impossible in this world if we put our hearts and minds into it right? :)

I wish I can run pretty much all the time since I go into this peace and solitude state of mind whenever I move rapidly on foot...

A mind complete with no worries... :)

And it's another gentle reminder that I need to start training for my first full marathon for the year which is in May... Hehe...

And it'll be my first full marathon here di my home-ground...

Can't wait! :D

One Day :)

In the wake of Chris Medina's supersweet story from the latest American Idol's auditions, I'd like to share one of the beautifully written love songs (back in 2008) with all of you here...

Yes I am quite a jukebox, a title that has been crowned by many of my friends ;)

Now 1, 2, 3 everyone (especially to my ladies out there)...

AWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!

You can kind of see and gauge the similarities between this video and Chris' true love story :)

I hope that one day in the future, my (future) hubby will feel the same way (and more of course... hehe) from the day we met... Just like the lyrics to this song...

Well, a girl can always dream right? ;)

Happy FT Day to the KL-ites and Happy Tuesday! :)
